Day of Mourning - April 28

The National Day of Mourning is a powerful reminder for all of us to renew our commitment to improving health and safety in our workplaces. On April 28, please take a moment to not only remember those we have lost but also use this day to raise awareness of health and safety and the importance of creating a culture of prevention in the workplace to avoid injuries and illnesses.

Alberta lost 144 people to workplace injury or illness in 2025.
